Now you are ready to build your website
This is your get it done list
Use this list as your "get it done" guide. Check each box as you go — you'll be surprised how simple it is when you know the order.
Step1 - Pick a Domain Name: Watch This Video
Choose something short, memorable, and easy to spell. Use Namecheap to register your domain.
Step 2 - Get Hosting with cPanel: I use HostGator Video
I recommend HostGator or Bluehost. Make sure your plan includes cPanel access for easy management.
Step 3 - Update Your Nameservers:

Point your domain to your hosting company. Your host will email you the correct nameservers to use in your domain registrar settings.
Step 4 - Next, you are going to install a clean copy of WordPress. Choose one method. I recommend the manual method. It is clean with less suggested free trial stuff that can confuse you.

Step 5 - Clean House:
Delete default posts ("Hello World"), sample pages, and pre-installed plugins that you won't need.
Step 6 - Install Security and SEO Plugins & Your Theme (Divi 5):
Follow the video for security and SEO updates. Then we will download and install Divi 5 from Elegant Themes. Watch video
Step 7 - Set Basic Settings
Go to Settings → Permalinks → Post Name. Also, set your Time Zone and Site Title to match your business.

Step 8 - Upload Child Theme
If you plan to customize Divi, install your Divi Child Theme next to protect your customizations during updates. Watch the video
Step 9 - Preview Your Site
Visit yourdomain.com — you're live! 🎉
Step 10 - Now that Divi is installed, it is time to build your website
